THING #184: Presenting “I WILL NOT BE PURIFIED”: Sophie Strand’s powerful live reading put to music and film.

This is a warning, and an invitation: this video and music project is both gorgeous, and confronting.

It is troubling and necessary.

It is for everybody, but it is especially for those in the community who have ever dealt with sexual assault (and further, early childhood sexual assault), debilitating illness, or for anyone who has stood close to those edges, or dealt with the dark of what our bodies can do to (and for) us.

It is called “I WILL NOT BE PURIFIED”.
