Greetings from a car and the bottom bunk of a bunk bed. I am on my way to a family memorial. I have been surrounded by so much death and grief this year and I haven’t processed very much of it because of everything else that is going on. I hope this week helps.
Ash and I will dip our hands in the water and say goodbye to some people and places. I won’t have a lot of time to post here, but I’m about to drop a beautiful piano video that I’ve been waiting a long while to release. Tomorrow, I hope. The music is helping.
Not unrelated, I am ready to announce (and play) some more solo shows. Just three, all close to home.
The show info is going out to you patrons before I hit socials or the mailing list, so please grab these tickets quickly. The links are public, but I’m not saying a word to anyone else anywhere til Friday.
In addition to the four Dresden Dolls shows happening this fall (in Woodstock, NY on Oct 26 & 27, and Boston Nov 1 & 2 with Gogol Bordello…all info HERE), I’ve added three intimate fall solo shows.
I’ll be telling stories and playing new songs, old songs, cover songs and request on piano, ukulele, and whatever other random instrument I can manage to learn by then.
Bring Your Own Lighthouse.
I’m also planning to do a patron meet-up (probably the afternoon OF or the morning AFTER each show) at every single tour stop. I love these so, so much.
I’ll make a post asking for good location ideas in Fairfield, Tarrytown and Northampton, but don’t start suggesting things quite yet….gimme a second to get these tickets out the door and then let’s ‘ talk about the fun part.
Here are the dates and ticketing links…..
ALL TICKETS are on sale NOW to patrons.
Use the access code/password: LIGHTHOUSE
ALL SHOWS ARE ALL AGES!
(But warning: adults themes and, er, language)
SHOWS GO ON SALE TO THE PUBLIC AT FRIDAY, 10am EST at https://amandapalmer.net/events
………..
There are no openers scheduled. Just me.
The show will be about 2 hours long, or a little shorter. This is not a four hour pain-a-thon like the last tour. It’s a two hour pain-a-thon. You can handle that, yeah?
Wherever possible, I’ll be signing and hugging after the show. Depends on travel stuff and how my voice is doing.

I had different artwork ready for this tour announcement.
Then I asked Niki if she would paint me a lighthouse.
I needed one.
So: this lighthouse + piano artwork is an original painting, made expressly for this set of dates, by our wonderful friend Niki McQueen from South Africa (you’ll recognize the style, she also painted all the posters for The Dresden Dolls tours these past two years).
She worked fast.
I’m a lucky musician. Thank you, Niki, thank you.
We’ll have posters and merch of the image for sale at the shows. There’s a nice space for signing and writing little messages. I like that.
I am going to hang this one in my kitchen.
I can’t wait to sit down in these halls and be with you all.
Let’s do it.
I love you.
xx
