Solstice.

Longest night in New York. Longest day in New Zealand. My friend is ill. The night is cold. Tania just sent a picture of the gardenia I planted in her garden on Waiheke. It just blossomed.

To those feeling lost, lonely, confused, afraid, betrayed, hopeless, orphaned, or even just a little melancholy: I light this candle for you.

For those feeling far from what you love: the cycle always comes around. The level of light and dark is always in and out of phase.
